Docs are predictably durable. This is my third pair in 25 years. They last forever. I love this print - broke them in at the Flower & Garden Show. The bottoms grip well except in icy conditions. Be prepared to deal with blisters on the back of your heels where the half circle support ends, because it rubs against your foot. After one short wear I added some heel protectors to the shoe to soften this transition area and voila, no more rubbing against my heel. I also recommend breaking the boots in by bending the tops and tying them with twine for days in different configurations, just to soften up the leather. They're pretty stiff at first. But like I said, they're durable and we'll worth the effort!
